What’s Happening in Milwaukee This Labor Day Weekend 2026?
Okay Milwaukee, Labor Day weekend is here, and if you’re sitting around saying, “There ain’t nothing to do,” I’m about to help you out because there are actually quite a few things happening around the city this weekend.
We have motorcycles, art, live music, festivals, baseball, food and plenty of things to get you out of the house.
Labor Day is Monday, September 7, so for those of you lucky enough to have a three-day weekend, you might as well enjoy it!
Here are a few things happening in and around Milwaukee this Labor Day weekend.
🏍️ Harley-Davidson – The RIDE Home
September 3–6
You already know when Harley-Davidson has something going on in Milwaukee, you’re going to see motorcycles everywhere!
The RIDE Home is happening throughout Labor Day weekend at the Harley-Davidson Museum and participating Harley dealerships around the Milwaukee area.
There will be live music, food, motorcycle shows, group rides, stunt shows and plenty of entertainment throughout the weekend.
And no, you don’t have to own a Harley to come out and enjoy yourself.
If you like motorcycles, music, people-watching or you just want somewhere different to hang out, add this one to your weekend list.
🎨 Historic Third Ward Art Festival
Saturday, September 5 & Sunday, September 6
10 AM – 5 PM
FREE
Now y’all already know I love anything involving art, so this is definitely one I had to put on the list.
The Historic Third Ward Art Festival takes over Broadway Street Saturday and Sunday with nearly 200 artists showcasing their work.
You’ll find paintings, photography, jewelry, sculptures, ceramics, mixed media and all kinds of creative pieces.
There will also be live music, food and activities for the kids.
And even if you’re not planning on buying anything, go down there, walk around and check out the artists. You never know what you might find.
Support these artists! Somebody put a lot of time into creating that work.
💪🏾 Milwaukee Labor Day Parade & Laborfest
Monday, September 7
Parade starts at 11 AM

Now this is a Milwaukee Labor Day tradition.
The Milwaukee Labor Day Parade starts at 11 AM at Zeidler Union Square and makes its way downtown to the Summerfest grounds.
Once the parade reaches Henry Maier Festival Park, Laborfest gets started.
And here’s the best part — it’s FREE!
There will be live music, food, children’s activities, a classic car show, bingo, wrestling and other entertainment throughout the day.
So if you’re looking for something you can do with the whole family without spending a bunch of money just to get through the gate, this might be the move.
Labor Day is also about recognizing working people and the people who fought for better working conditions, fair wages, weekends and other workplace protections.
So go have some fun, but also remember what the holiday represents.
⚾ Brewers vs. Cubs!
Monday, September 7

American Family Field
Okay baseball fans, y’all have something to do too!
The Milwaukee Brewers are taking on the Chicago Cubs at American Family Field on Labor Day.
And we already know how it gets when the Cubs come to Milwaukee. 😂
First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 PM, so grab your Brewers gear and head over to the ballpark.
And Cubs fans… y’all can come too. 😂
🥁 Wisconsin Highland Games
September 4–6
Waukesha County Expo Center
If you want to try something completely different this weekend, take a ride over to Waukesha for the Wisconsin Highland Games.
This is three days of Scottish, Irish and Celtic culture with bagpipes, dancing, music, food and those Highland athletic competitions where people are throwing around things that I wouldn’t even attempt to pick up. 😂
Sometimes it’s good to get out and experience something you normally wouldn’t attend.
You might actually have a good time!

Don’t stop there.
Brad Paisley will be performing Friday, September 4 at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.
Polka Riot is happening Saturday at Linneman’s Riverwest Inn.
Oak Creek LionsFest runs September 4–7 with carnival rides, live music, food, bingo and family activities.
And The Wallflowers will be at the Pabst Theater Sunday night.
So there are definitely some options.
☀️ Get Out and Enjoy Milwaukee!
Listen, summer went by FAST.
I feel like we were just getting ready for summer and now we’re already talking about Labor Day.
So while we still have some warm days left, get outside and enjoy them!
Go downtown. Walk through the Third Ward. Check out the motorcycles. Support some local artists. Catch a Brewers game. Take the kids to Laborfest. Grab something good to eat. Take some pictures.
Or just find somewhere nice to sit outside and enjoy Milwaukee.
You don’t always have to spend a bunch of money to have a good time.
Sometimes you just have to get out of the house and see what’s happening in your own city.
