How to get in free to Summerfest

Thursday, June 20

Anyone donating three shelf-stable food items between 12 and 3 p.m. will receive one free ticket to Summerfest. All three gates will accept food donations, which will go toward supporting Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.

Only on Thursday, June 20, during the promotional hours, is the ticket valid. There can only be one ticket per individual.

Friday, June 21

Anyone who enters the Summerfest grounds between noon and 3 p.m. will be admitted for free. Some vendors will also offer discounted food and drinks.

Saturday, June 22

One complimentary entry ticket will be given to the first 1,500 visitors who arrive at the Summerfest grounds between noon and 3 p.m. and donate fresh socks, deodorant, and/or oral hygiene products. The minimum item value is $10. Through Mary Lou’s Closet, a program of United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, and the Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership, products will help underprivileged children attending nearby public schools.

The ticket is valid Saturday, June 22 during the promotion hours. Tickets are limited to one per person.

First weekend free

The first 15,000 festival goers who download the Summerfest app will receive a free digital ticket to the festival. Tickets are valid for entry from noon to 4 p.m. on June 20 to 22.

Open the Summerfest app, select the “Tickets” page, and redeem a free ticket. Click the “Pepsi Promo Ticket” button and fill out the necessary fields. After choosing the Summerfest 2024 First Weekend one-day entrance ticket that you want to add to your card, click “Get Tickets.” Remember to check out and finish placing your order.

Thursday, June 27

From noon to 6 p.m., take advantage of $5 admission fees and 50% off select drinks including beer, seltzer, cherry vodka lemonade, Aquafina water and soda.

Friday, June 28

Summerfest offers free entrance to anyone wearing a shirt or hat from one of the following universities: Herzing University, Marquette University, Milwaukee Area Technical College, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, University of Wisconsin-Parkside, or University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Plus, admission to the music festival is free for anyone with a high school ID. Go to the Mid Gate Promotions Booth in order to pick up your voucher.

Saturday, June 29

Summerfest is open from noon to six p.m. for free to all active-duty military people, veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians. Members of the family may attend for free up to four times. Bring a valid military ID, a copy or a picture of a DD-214 form, a driver’s license bearing the veteran designation, and credentials from the police or fire departments. Alternatively, you can gain free entry by presenting your valid photo ID along with your police or fire union ID.

From midday until six o’clock in the evening, all active-duty military members, veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians are eligible to attend Summerfest free of charge. They are free to attend with up to four family members. Remember to bring a valid military ID, a copy or picture of a DD-214 form, a driver’s license bearing the veteran designation, and credentials provided by the police, fire department, or other relevant agency. As an alternative, get free entry by presenting your police or fire union ID alongside another legitimate photo ID.

Thursday, July 4

All festival patrons who head to Summerfest between noon and 6 p.m. will receive free admission. Plus, grab a free sample of M&Ms near the Mid Gate.

Friday, July 5

From noon to four p.m., anyone over 60 can enter Summerfest for free. Bring your ID with you to the turnstile. Additionally, when they spend at least $10, all seniors who are admitted will receive $2 off meals or a non-alcoholic drink. Seniors can also get complimentary wheelchairs from noon to 4 p.m., while supplies last.

The first 2,000 festival attendees who give three shelf-stable food items will get free admission from noon to three p.m. Donations can be made at the Mid Gate Promotion Booth to support Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. Saturday, July 6

Anyone who makes it to Summerfest on the festival’s last day from noon to 3 p.m. will receive free admission. The first 30,000 people who enter the Summerfest grounds will receive a free ticket for Summerfest 2025 as well as a BIG WIN ticket entry.

Additionally, the first 500 users to display a completed donation on the Versiti App will be given a complimentary ticket to Summerfest at the Mid Gate box office. Only one ticket per festival-goer per day is allowed under this promotion.
