👻 Haunted Hotels in Milwaukee That’ll Give You Goosebumps

Milwaukee isn’t just beer, brats, and lake views — it’s got a dark side too. Hidden in plain sight, some of the city’s most beautiful buildings are home to spirits, eerie events, and ghost stories that have haunted guests for generations.

If you’re into the paranormal, these haunted Milwaukee hotels might just be your next overnight dare… if you’re brave enough. 👀

🏨 1. The Pfister Hotel – “The Haunted Jewel of Milwaukee”

Where: 424 E. Wisconsin Ave.
Ghost Vibes: 👻👻👻👻👻

This place might be Milwaukee’s most famous ghost hotel. Opened in 1893, the Pfister Hotel is stunning… but spooky. Many guests (including MLB players) say they’ve seen lights flicker, objects move, and felt an eerie presence — often believed to be the spirit of founder Charles Pfister himself.

💬 Baseball player Bryce Harper even said:

“I had to sleep with the lights on. No cap.”

👻 Even Megan Thee Stallion Got Spooked at the Pfister Hotel

When Megan Thee Stallion came to Summerfest, she brought the heat on stage — but off stage, she might’ve had a run-in with one of Milwaukee’s most famous ghosts. 💨

Before her performance, Megan and her team stayed at the historic Pfister Hotel, not realizing at first that it’s one of the most haunted hotels in the country.

“We got to the hotel thinking everything was normal,” Megan posted on Instagram, “until someone told us it was one of the most haunted places in America! Why would my team put us here?” 😭

In a now-viral video clip, Megan described her spooky experience:

“I was in the room and I closed my bedroom door. I thought maybe somebody had come in and moved my stuff around… I came back in and nobody was there. It happened twice.”

Another crew member added that they even heard a creepy noise, and when asked about the booking, one of her team members joked:

“The ghosts won’t bother you unless you’ve got bad vibes.”

Whether it was a ghost or just hotel vibes playing tricks, the Stallion definitely left the Pfister with a story. And she’s not the only celebrity who’s had a paranormal experience there…

🕵🏾‍♂️ 2. The Ambassador Hotel – Where the Past Still Lingers

Where: 2308 W. Wisconsin Ave.
Ghost Vibes: 👻👻👻👻

The Ambassador is infamous for its connection to Jeffrey Dahmer, who committed his first Milwaukee murder here. 😨 But beyond that dark chapter, guests have reported strange voices, cold spots, and a heavy presence in certain rooms.

You might not see anything, but many visitors say you’ll feel something.

🔥 3. Hilton Garden Inn Downtown – Built Over Tragedy

Where: 611 N. Broadway
Ghost Vibes: 👻👻👻

This elegant downtown hotel sits on the site of the 1883 Newhall House fire, which killed over 70 people. To this day, guests report hearing phantom footsteps, doors slamming, and even feeling touched by something unseen.

If you book rooms 201 or 326… don’t say we didn’t warn you.

🏚️ 4. Brumder Mansion – Milwaukee’s Haunted Bed & Breakfast

Where: 3046 W. Wisconsin Ave.
Ghost Vibes: 👻👻👻👻

Built in 1910, this Victorian B&B was once a Prohibition-era speakeasy, and it’s said the spirits never left. Guests and staff report flickering lights, ghostly voices, and even apparitions in the hallways.

This one’s so active, they host ghost hunts and paranormal tours year-round. Boo-yah.
